Top 7th Grade PreAlgebra This class meets every day. Students are expected to keep records of all assignments and should be able to calculate earned grade at all times. Most assignments are to be kept in a very organized 3-ring binder with 5 seperate sections just for math class. Most of the work is kept in the binder--available for parent and teacher review. Students are to complete one "test level" per week. They must pass 30 test levels for the year and demonstrate academic maturity to be recommended for Algebra. The grading scale is as follows: 10% Binder and Gradesheet checks 10% RA's (can be fixed/corrected up until the week before the end of the quarter.) 10% Homework (grade cannot be made up unless student is/was absent) 10% Responsibility/participation/pps (students must bring supplies to class every day ) 20% Quiz (randomly given--may be over homework or RA's or taught concepts or possibly come in the form of an organization check) 40% Exams (announced outloud and on the chalk board usually a couple weeks ahead of time.
